The Stout is a twist between the Tutea and Tuna 1. Waka Kayaks and The Lammlers have brought to life this radical new design which takes high-end technical creeking to a whole new level. The Stout has an aggressive design on a friendly hull shape (Same as the Tuna 1) that gives paddlers a nimble performance that isn’t found in many kayaks today! This boat is so easy to boof that you’ll find yourself toning down the need to pull so hard, enabling you to focus on more important technical things like timing and edge transitions. The Stout is friendly and allows for mistakes to be made, giving you the time and ability to make quick adjustments and corrections. This is a huge advantage to paddling a shorter boat: if you find yourself off line, it’s easy to correct and get back online!

The Stout is slightly smaller and more aggressive than a Tuna2 but larger than a Tutea.

All Waka Kayaks are equipped with easy to adjust outfitting. We wanted our outfitting to have strong but fast adjustment capabilities to ensure it caters to everyone – from schools to experts.

Seat
The seat is Roto-moulded. It has three screw holes under the hip pads on seat tab that adjust the seat position. Just remove two screws and the seat will slide forward and backward. The seat is very comfortable, especially over longer periods of time.

Hip Pads
The hip pads are the most adjustable on the market with velcro shims that allow you to achieve a perfect fit, for you.

Back-band
The back-band is extremely comfortable. It has two ratchets and ladders, making it easy to adjust and tighten. It can be adjusted even more by altering the length of webbing on the back of the back-band. The back-band has been mounted to allow for easy access to any safety equipment or overnight gear stored behind the seat.

Thigh Braces

The thigh braces are extremely comfortable and hug your thighs in all the right places. Roto-moulded into the design you don’t have to worry about them shifting when you need them most. They are simple, light-weight and most importantly, very effective, giving you perfect control.

Foot-block
The foot-block is fully adjustable, with four thumb-nuts on the inside of the hull. The width is also adjustable, depending on the position of the foot block.
