Waka Kayaks Manufacturers Warranty 

This warranty only applies to Waka Kayaks and not apparel.

Our warehouse in Kamloops has stock of Warranty Shells for a quick and easy replacement if you find yourself in need of a new hull due to manufacturers defect. If you have encountered an issue with your boat, please take pictures and notify us ASAP via email to wakakayaks@pinkmountainimports.com. We will be able to direct you from there and will most likely have you fill out a warranty claim form that directly gets sent to the Waka Kayaks Manufacturer. Once they receive your form, an investigation will happen to determine if you are eligible for a full, partial or no warranty. As a retailer, these decisions can be out of our control, but we will always do our best to make sure your story is told. It is our goal to be as kind as possible, and to provide everyone the best service we can. We are paddlers and community members first. Business owners second.

Please also know that we do our best to order enough hulls each year in our container to build up stock for when shit happens. In a perfect world we would get this number right everytime, but there is a risk that we may not have the shell you need in stock. If this is the case, we will get as creative as we possibly can to make something work. If all else fails, we will add a shell for you into the following years container. All containers are scheduled to arrive in March of each year.  

Warranty Disclaimer:

At Waka Kayaks it is extremely important to ensure our kayaks are of high quality and won’t let paddlers down.
  • Waka kayaks have a warranty for one year as of 1st January 2018.
  • The warranty covers both plastic and parts, manufacturing and material defects.
  • The manufacturer or seller undertakes to change and/or repair the kayak or any part thereof.
  • The company Waka Kayaks is not responsible for any additional warrantees granted by the seller.
  • Partial warranties are subject a hull cost of 350 Euros
  • Kayaking is a potentially dangerous sport and Waka Kayaks assumes no liability for any damage or injury incurred in connection with the use of its products.
Conditions of claim:
  • Proof of Kayak purchased as the original owner must be presented.
  • A written explanation and photographs of damage must be provided.
  • The justification of the claim must be authorized by Waka Kayaks in consultation with the manufacturer.
Warranty is not valid in these cases:
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Any damage due to improper, excessive or abusive use.
  • Scenarios where damage to a kayak might normally be expected (e.g. damage caused after a swim, when an empty kayak has filled with water and impacted or hit against rocks).
  • Rock pitons or heavy impacts on rocks.
  • Folds from impacts on large waterfalls.
  • Changes made to the shell or outfitting of the kayak (including customization or repair), except where this work has been completed by Waka Kayaks.
  • Damage to the boat from using a modified brace or from removal of the reinforcing foam.
  • Damage during transportation and shipping.
  • Damage to the kayak caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, high heat or severe cold.

Kayaking is a potentially dangerous sport. Waka Kayaks NZ, Waka Kayaks Western Canada and Pink Mountain Imports assumes NO LIABILITY for any damage or injury incurred in connection with the use of its products.

Warranty Form

Inflatable Board Warranty

Badfish is proud the quality of our products and we stand behind our inflatable boards.

We offer a limited warranty against any defect in workmanship or materials, to the original purchaser, covering three years from original purchase date. Warranty claims are to be processed through the Badfish Retailer from which the original purchase was made. Retailers are then asked to contact the Badfish Customer Service Team to validate and approve the claim.

Badfish will determine if the defect falls under the warranty guidelines after information is submitted or product has been received by Badfish. Credit will be issued or replacement will be sent after the product is deemed defective at the manufacturing/construction level.

Inflatable boards will develop natural wear and tear and the materials may breakdown over time. As with any inflatable product, they will not last forever, but taking good care of a board can help extend its life.

Badfish’s limited warranty does NOT cover the following:

  • Damage due to normal wear and tear.
  • Punctures and/or previous repairs.
  • Damage due to improper care, handling, or storage.
  • Damage due to excessive heat exposure including direct sunlight, extended amount of time in car and/or board bag.
  • Cosmetic blemishes.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material and/or workmanship.

Composite Board Warranty 

Badfish Composite Boards are built using a traditional epoxy surfboard layup. The same layup of the custom boards we have built for our pro riders. These boards are designed for performance…not durability. If durability is a priority please consider an inflatable board. There is no warranty on the Composite SK8’s and River Surfers once they have been on the water.  
 

Shipping Inspection

Please inspect your composite board completely for shipping damage prior to signing for it. Once you have signed for it we will have limited ability to assist with a damage claim. If you are unable to inspect the board prior to signing please sign -Will inspect for concealed damage.

Palm Equipment Warranty

Palm Equipment International Ltd products are guaranteed for twenty-four months from the date of consumer purchase. This guarantee is only valid to the original retail purchaser (consumer) against defects in material and workmanship. If a product is found to be defective during the first twenty-four (24) months of use due to a manufacturing failure, Palm Equipment International Ltd will repair or replace at our option any defective part.

The product may be sent directly to Palm Equipment or to your represented distributor or retailer (carriage/freight prepaid). For warranty claims, you must enclose the original invoice or receipt number and date of purchase, along with your name, address and a daytime contact telephone number or email address.

Products outside of the warranty can be repaired (please see repairs list). Each garment is assessed individually and owners are advised on costs before repairs are undertaken.

This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from abuse, alteration or unauthorised repair. Due to the vulnerability of latex seals and fabric socks, no guarantee can be given on these once the garment has been worn. Clothing must be clean and dry before being sent back for warranty and repair work. Wet or dirty products will not be repaired and will be returned to sender. Please allow up to twenty one (21) working days for items to be returned when sent directly to Palm and more when sent via a distributor.

SurfEars offer a 6-month manufacturers warranty against defects and breaks due to normal use within the 6 months. What is broken will be replaced. After the warranty runs out spare parts can be purchased . Please get in contact with us to set up a parts order!

We offer a 30-day return policy on all goods with original reciept. All products must be unused/unworn and in original packaging for a valid return. 

For any clothing garnments that need a seam repair, we are happy to repair it for you and give it back as good as new.
