Following in the footsteps of its big brother the Tutea is set to be the leader of the pack in the small creek boat class. With the same smooth lines and well-proportioned rocker that has carried the Tuna to be the best creek boat on the market. The Tutea will be taking the smaller paddler leaps and bounds in their personal paddling skills and confidence – something that most small boat designs haven’t achieved. At the moment this boat still shines as the best small paddlers creek boat on the market.

The Tutea also features the old Waka outfitting allowing for more custom fit in the legs which is a big advantage for small paddlers.

The Tutea is 250 cms long, 67 cms wide, and has a volume of 300L. Ideal for paddlers weighing 50kg to 85kg, it has a narrower feel than the Tuna, making it easier to transition edge to edge. The edges have also been increased slightly to ensure the Tutea carries its speed through the exit of any waterfall or hole.

All Waka Kayaks are equipped with easy to adjust outfitting. We wanted our outfitting to have strong but fast adjustment capabilities to ensure it caters to everyone – from schools to experts.

Seat
The seat is Roto-moulded. It has three screw holes under the hip pads on seat tab that adjust the seat position. Just remove two screws and the seat will slide forward and backward. The seat is very comfortable, especially over longer periods of time.

Hip Pads
The hip pads are the most adjustable on the market with velcro shims that allow you to achieve a perfect fit, for you.

Back-band
The back-band is extremely comfortable. It has two ratchets and ladders, making it easy to adjust and tighten. It can be adjusted even more by altering the length of webbing on the back of the back-band. The back-band has been mounted to allow for easy access to any safety equipment or overnight gear stored behind the seat.

Thigh braces

The thigh braces are extremely comfortable and hug you in all the right places. The thigh braces in the Tutea are completely adjustable giving you the option to move them further away or closer to you for optimal fit. Additionally, by loosening one screw on each side, you can change how aggressive they hug your thighs.

Foot-block
The foot-block is fully adjustable, with four thumb-nuts on the inside of the hull. The width is also adjustable, depending on the position of the foot block.
